Unlike many other science centers, our fossils aren’t in glass cases; they are in your hands where you can truly experience and learn from these records of the past. Also, explore our newly added animal room to meet some of our wonderful live creatures.  Learn how to hold, feed, and care for creatures like snakes, turtles, Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches, guinea pigs, and sugar gliders.

The Creation Education Museum Inside Akron Fossils

CEwide.jpeg

Inside the Akron Fossils & Science Center, a small museum has opened.  This museum is dedicated to comparing and contrasting scientific models like Intelligent Design and  Evolution on the origin of the Universe, and Catastrophism and Uniformitarianism models on the geologic record.  Since science is about searching and questioning, this new museum is a great fit for discovery.

Inside the Creation Education Museum, multiple views can be heard.   In the end, the museum encourages YOU to decide for yourself.  With an abundant amount of information, you can survey the evidence, comparing ideas with others, and drawing your own conclusions.

Guests may take a self-guided tour of the Creation Education Museum at any time throughout the day. Guided tours are available upon request.

Explore!

After your tour, explore our 2 acre outdoor park, Play Park! Outside you will find:

  • 60 ft long giant slide

  •  4 person helicopter  swing

  • Old fashioned merry-go- round

  • Mini challenge course

  • 200ft zip-line!

After playing, bring a lunch to enjoy under our covered picnic pavilion!
