Ways to Get Involved

It’s time once again for Akron Fossils & Science Center’s annual Silent Auction Fundraiser. This year, we are excited to once again gather in person for an evening of dinner, entertainment, and a silent auction—with a twist! Some auction items will also be available online for those who wish to participate from home.

Join us on Saturday, November 7th, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, for a fun-filled event featuring dinner, entertainment, carnival games, raffles, activities, treats, and more for the whole family to enjoy.

This is our largest fundraising event of the year. We invite you to support us by donating items for the silent auction, such as themed gift baskets, gift cards, certificates, admission tickets, tours, services, or merchandise. Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are also available.

Donations and Sponsorships

Are you looking for more ways to support Akron Fossils and Science Center? We are a non-profit 501c(3) organization, and because of that, we rely on the generous support of patrons, families, businesses and friends who love what we do. Your support is essential to keep AFSC flourishing. Participating in our Online Silent Auction and Family Carnival event is one of the best ways to support us, but if you are looking for additional ways to give back to the Akron Fossils and Science Center community, here are a few more options.

Donate

Would you consider donating an item to include in our silent auction? Donation ideas include gift cards and certificates, coupons, merchandise, themed gift baskets with various items, vouchers for services, tickets or passes to sporting events, theaters, concerts, museums, and amusement parks and centers or any other tangible items.
