Simply Science, Studies, and STEAM Open House. Join us for an open house at Akron Fossils and Science Center to kick off the 2026-2027 school year. Meet the instructors and staff, ask questions, get a tutorial on how to best utilize Google Classroom, tour the grounds, and connect with other Simply families. Light refreshments will be served. Annual Silent Auction
It’s time once again for Akron Fossils & Science Center’s annual Silent Auction Fundraiser. This year, we are excited to once again gather in person for an evening of dinner, entertainment, and a silent auction—with a twist! Some auction items will also be available online for those who wish to participate from home.
Join us on Saturday, November 7th, 2026, for a fun-filled event featuring carnival games, dinner, raffles, activities, treats, and more for the whole family to enjoy.
This is our largest fundraising event of the year. We invite you to support us by donating items for the silent auction, such as themed gift baskets, gift cards, certificates, admission tickets, tours, services, or merchandise. Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are also available.

Simply Potluck Celebration
All Simply Science, Simply STEAM, and Simply Studies families are welcome to join us Friday, May 9th at 5pm at AFSC for a potluck dinner celebration. Pick up your child's journals, enjoy a meal together and celebrate the end of another successful school year. Please bring a dish to share.
